I lived the first five years of my life in Sacramento, when we (Parents Dick and Lilo and brother Mark) moved to Novato. I moved to Petaluma in 1993 and have been a Petaluman ever since. While growing up in Novato, I attended San Ramon Elementary, Sinaloa Junior and and then San Marin High School. I graduated in 1982 and went off to Santa Rosa Junior College then graduated with a Bachelors in Business (concentration in Real Estate and land Use) in 1987 from California State University, Sacramento.

While growing up I played some different sports such as Football and Baseball, but at 11 I really got into Racquetball. I played in many junior tournaments including the Junior nationals when I was 15. I was also the teaching pro at Rolling Hills Club in Novato when I was 15. Today, I run a junior program at Petaluma Valley Athletic Club. It is considered one of the largest programs in the state. You can get more information in the Racquetball section of the site.

Not long after graduation from college I passed the Real Estate Brokers Exam and began working as a mortgage broker. This was in 1988. You may review my resume if you wish. Happily I joined First Security in 1992 and have been there ever since. My business has been focused mostly in the Marin/Sonoma area, but I have done loans throughout the state as well as in a couple others. Check out the Real Estate Loans section for more information.

Since 1993 I have been involved with COTS on a donation basis. A few years ago I was introduced to some of the exciting things they were doing and got involved as a volunteer. In March of 2004, I was asked to join the Board of Directors and am currently President of the Board. COTS is a non-Profit organization based in Petaluma that helps homeless families and individuals to get back on their feet. I am also a volunteer in the “Rent Right” program. This is a 9 week course in which the students learn everything from budgeting to how to correctly speak with a landlord. It is an exciting program.

I live with Carol at our home in West Petaluma. I really enjoy Petaluma with it’s beautiful homes, nice restaurants, fun downtown, and just an all together great community feel. Of course, Novato always feels like home too....
